Journey on the Alabama River to our Newest Legacy Site

Enhance your visit to Freedom Monument Sculpture with an unforgettable ride on the Alabama River. Traveling by boat on the very same river where tens of thousands of enslaved people were trafficked provides a unique opportunity to deepen your appreciation of the trade of enslaved people.

Boats depart from our Boat Launch at 101 Morris Street every hour on the half hour from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with the last boat leaving the launch at 4 PM.  The boat ride takes 15 minutes and provides an amazing approach to the park.
